Philodendron Celestial Bird

A hemiepiphytic climbing aroid from the tropical forests of South America with a striking heterophylly — juvenile leaves are broadly ovate-cordate while mature leaves elongate into narrow, lanceolate blades with prominent pinnate venation and a glossy, coriaceous surface. It extends readily along any vertical support, producing progressively more elongated leaves as it climbs.

• Light: Bright indirect light with 40–60% shade cloth; avoid harsh direct sun, which can bleach and scorch the glossy leaf surface.
• Temperature: 65–85°F (18–29°C); thrives as a warm tropical grower with stable, frost-free conditions.
• Humidity: 60–80%; high humidity supports vigorous climbing growth and encourages the transition to mature leaf morphology.
• Watering: Water thoroughly when the top inch of substrate dries; avoid waterlogging and never let roots sit in standing water.
• Growth Habit: Hemiepiphytic climber displaying dramatic heterophylly — ovate-cordate juvenile leaves transition into narrow, elongated lanceolate blades on mature climbing stems, giving the plant a distinctive, bird-like silhouette at full size.

Additional Notes
