Descripción

This hybrid orchid is prized for its elegant floral display, resulting from the cross between Onc. Westmount and Onc. Ronez Point. It is distinguished by prominent pseudobulbs that serve as energy reserves and branched flower spikes that produce multiple blooms with intricate color patterns, characteristic of the "dancing lady" group.

  • Light: Bright and filtered. Avoid direct midday sun exposure to prevent foliage burns.
  • Temperature: Intermediate ranges. Ideally 70-85°F (21-29°C) during the day and 55-65°F (13-18°C) at night. A nightly temperature drop is beneficial to stimulate flower spike initiation.
  • Humidity: Moderate to high levels, between 40-70%. Constant air circulation is essential to prevent fungal issues, especially when ambient humidity is high.
  • Watering: Apply when the top layer of substrate feels slightly dry, approximately every 5 to 10 days during the active growth phase. Substrate must be well-draining to prevent roots from remaining waterlogged, with reduced frequency during rainy months.

Additional notes

This variety performs optimally in a fine or medium-grade bark mix that allows for good root aeration. Like many hybrids of this type, it may exhibit small black spots on the leaves, which is often a genetic trait rather than a sign of disease, though it can intensify with very high light levels.
