A distinctive species from the cloud forests of Ecuador, producing horizontal, branched inflorescences with numerous well-spaced flowers along the rachis. The narrow, strongly recurved sepals and petals bear dark blotches on a yellow-green ground, framing a trilobed lip with a white central lobe and fine striations.
