Descripción

A striking miniature epiphyte native to the cloud forests of Ecuador, bearing solitary flowers directly on the leaf rachis of small, strap-like leaves. The blooms display broadly ovate sepals with a rich granular texture and an iridescent sheen, framing rounded bilobed petals in a compact, jewel-like structure.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 50–70% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can damage the foliage.
  • Temperature: 55–75°F (13–24°C); an intermediate grower that appreciates stable temperatures with good air movement.
  • Humidity: 70–90%; maintain high humidity with strong airflow to prevent fungal issues.
  • Watering: Keep evenly moist; water regularly in small amounts and avoid prolonged dryness at the roots.

Additional Notes

Best mounted on cork or tree fern, or potted in a fine, well-draining mix (sphagnum moss or fine bark). Ships bare root, well-established.
