Lepanthes Killa Tinkuy

This primary Lepanthes hybrid combines the compact growth and delicate structure typical of the genus with improved adaptability to warm tropical conditions. The plant remains miniature but vigorous, producing successive small yet intricate flowers.

• Light: Provide bright, filtered light at 60–70% shade. Conditions similar to the lower canopy of a tropical forest are ideal. Avoid direct sun, which can burn the delicate leaves.
• Temperature: This hybrid performs well in warm tropical climates. Ideal temperatures are 22–28°C (72–82°F) during the day with a slight nighttime drop to 16–20°C (60–68°F).
• Humidity: Maintain 70–90% humidity with constant gentle air movement. Stable humidity is essential for healthy growth and consistent flowering.
• Watering: Keep the growing medium evenly moist but never waterlogged. Lepanthes roots are fine and sensitive to drought. Mounted plants may require daily watering or frequent misting, especially in warmer conditions.

Additional notes:

This hybrid is valued for its miniature size, steady blooming habit, and adaptability to warm environments, which is unusual for many Lepanthes species. Flowers typically emerge sequentially from the leaf base and may appear throughout the year when humidity and moisture remain stable.

For best results, grow it mounted on cork or tree fern with a thin layer of sphagnum moss. Its compact habit and decorative flowers make it perfect for terrariums and collectors of miniature orchids.
