Lepanthes gargoyla x Lepanthes horrida

A dramatic hybrid of Lths. gargoyla × Lths. horrida. It inherits the densely pubescent, lanceolate leaves of both parents and produces successive flowers with a sharp triangular dorsal sepal, broad rounded lateral sepals covered in fine trichomes, and a complex dark labellum with contrasting central petals.

• Light: Bright indirect light with 50–70% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can scorch the hairy, delicate foliage.
• Temperature: 60–78°F (16–26°C); an Intermediate-Warm grower that tolerates warmer conditions than most Lepanthes.
• Humidity: 75–90%; maintain consistently high humidity — ideal for terrariums or warm, humid growing setups.
• Watering: Water frequently to keep the medium evenly moist; avoid prolonged dryness, as Lepanthes roots are sensitive to dehydration.

Additional Notes

Best grown mounted on cork or in a small net pot with fine sphagnum moss. Its compact habit and striking dark flowers make it an excellent terrarium subject. Plants are shipped bare root and well-established.
