Lepanthes calodictyon x Lths. ova-rajae

A primary hybrid of Lths. calodictyon × Lths. ova-rajae, combining the bold, grid-like reticulated foliage of calodictyon with the vivid, fleshy flowers of ova-rajae. The large, orbicular leaves display a striking checkerboard pattern, while the intense blooms emerge directly from the leaf surface — making this hybrid as spectacular in foliage as it is in flower.

• Light: Bright indirect light with 50–70% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can fade the ornamental leaf patterning.
• Temperature: 55–72°F (13–22°C); an Intermediate grower that appreciates moderate temperatures with a slight drop at night and good air circulation.
• Humidity: 75–90%; high humidity is essential to maintain the lush foliage and support continuous blooming.
• Watering: Keep roots evenly moist; water frequently in small amounts with excellent drainage to prevent root rot.

Additional Notes

Excellent mounted on cork bark or tree fern to showcase its growth habit, or grown in a net pot with fine sphagnum moss. A closed terrarium or enclosed glass container makes an excellent environment for this hybrid, though it can also thrive in any humid, well-ventilated setup. Ships bare root, well-established.
