Descripción

A robust reed-stem epiphyte from the cloud forests of South America, bearing large, dome-shaped corymbs densely packed with star-shaped flowers on tall, upright stems. The blooms feature narrow, spreading sepals and petals alongside a distinctly toothed, three-lobed lip.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 40–60% shade cloth; avoid prolonged direct sun exposure, which can cause leaf scorch.
  • Temperature: 50–72°F (10–22°C); an intermediate-cool grower that benefits from cooler nights to encourage blooming.
  • Humidity: 70–85%; ensure strong air movement to prevent fungal issues at high humidity.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the medium to nearly dry between waterings; never allow roots to sit in standing water.

Additional Notes

Best cultivated in a well-draining bark-based mix or mounted on cork. Plants are shipped bare root and well established, ready to acclimate quickly to their new environment.
