Elleanthus capitatus f. alba

Elleanthus capitatus f. alba Culture

Elleanthus capitatus f. alba belongs to the genus Elleanthus and comes from our own propagation in Ecuador. It is a cool-to-intermediate orchid.

• Light: Bright, indirect light, out of direct midday sun.
• Temperature: It prefers days of 18-26 °C (64-79 °F) and cooler nights around 12-18 °C (54-64 °F).
• Humidity: High humidity (70-85%) with constant gentle air movement, much like its cloud-forest conditions, keeps the plant healthy and prevents fungal spots.
• Watering: Water regularly during active growth, allowing the medium to begin drying between waterings. Reduce slightly during the cooler months.

Additional notes: The lowercase epithet 'alba' tells you this is the white color form of the species, distinct from its typical coloring - these selected forms are favorites among collectors.
