Descripción

Dendrobium aduncum is a captivating epiphytic orchid species native to Southeast Asia. This remarkable species is renowned for its elegant arching growth habit and delicate, fragrant flowers that bloom in graceful clusters.

  • Light: Provide bright, indirect light with some morning sun. Avoid harsh direct afternoon sunlight which can damage the leaves.
  • Temperature: Maintain temperatures between 18-24°C (65-75°F) during the day with a slight nighttime drop of 3-5°C (5-10°F) to encourage healthy growth and blooming cycles.
  • Humidity: Requires moderate to high humidity levels of 50-70%. Ensure adequate air circulation around the plant for optimal health and to prevent fungal issues.
  • Watering: Keep slightly moist during growing season but allow to dry slightly between waterings. Reduce watering during winter rest period. Use lukewarm, filtered water and ensure excellent drainage to prevent root rot.

Additional Notes:

Features slender pseudobulbs with narrow leaves and delicate white to pale yellow flowers. Appreciates a winter rest period to promote blooming. An excellent choice for intermediate orchid growers.
