This magnificent species is renowned for its large, showy flowers and regal presence. This Cattleya produces impressive blooms with creamy-white to pale lavender petals and a distinctive deep purple lip, making it a prized specimen for collectors.

  • Light: Bright, indirect light. Place near an east or west-facing window with filtered sunlight, or provide 50-70% shade in greenhouse conditions.
  • Temperature: Intermediate to warm conditions, 15-27Β°C (60-80Β°F) during the day, with a 5-8Β°C (10-15Β°F) drop at night to encourage blooming.
  • Humidity: 60-80% relative humidity with good air circulation to prevent fungal issues.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly when the potting medium approaches dryness. Allow slight drying between waterings, reducing frequency during winter rest period after flowering.

Additional Notes:

Produces large, fragrant flowers up to 12-17 cm across with excellent substance. The blooms feature creamy-white to pale lavender petals and sepals with a striking deep purple lip marked with yellow in the throat.
