Información

Cattleya maxima f. semialba 'Felipe' x f. semialba pink lip

A spectacular pairing of two exceptional, select color forms of this majestic epiphytic species native to Ecuador, prized for its robust upright growth habit. This premier cross produces strong, erect inflorescences from mature pseudobulbs, bearing an elegant and crowded canopy of large, highly fragrant blossoms with striking lip contrast.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with a 40–50% shade cloth; protect the foliage from scorching direct sun.
  • Temperature: 59–86°F (15–30°C); a versatile intermediate to warm grower that thrives with a distinct day-to-night drop.
  • Humidity: 60–80%; consistent humidity combined with gentle air movement prevents stagnant moisture on the leaves.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly during active growth and allow the medium to dry almost completely between applications.

Additional Notes

Potting in a coarse bark mixture or mounting on a large cork plaque perfectly accommodates its large growth habit and showy 5-inch (12.5 cm) flowers. Your plant ships bare root and should be thoroughly rehydrated at an intermediate temperature before being potted or mounted upon arrival.
