A hybrid of C. Elegans (1879) × Lc. Vivi Arosemena, two classic Cattleya alliance hybrids with strong ornamental lineage. It produces multiple large flowers per spike with narrow sepals, broadly spreading and undulate petals, and a tubular lip with a strongly ruffled front lobe — a showstopping display typical of the finest Cattleya alliance breeding.
-
Light: Bright indirect light with 30–50% shade cloth; Cattleya alliance hybrids thrive with good light levels to promote vigorous growth and prolific blooming.
-
Temperature: 65–85°F (18–29°C); a warm grower that appreciates stable temperatures, good air movement, and a slight temperature drop at night to encourage flowering.
-
Humidity: 55–75%; moderate humidity supports healthy pseudobulb development and abundant, fragrant blooms.
-
Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the substrate to dry out between waterings; Cattleya alliance hybrids are susceptible to root rot if kept too wet.
Additional Notes
Best grown in a coarse bark mix in a well-draining pot or mounted on cork for excellent air circulation around the roots. Plants are shipped bare root and well established; pot promptly upon arrival and water thoroughly to rehydrate the roots.
