Care Guide

• Light: Bright, indirect light or dappled shade; protect from harsh midday sun.
• Water: Keep soil evenly moist during active growth; reduce watering as the plant goes dormant.
• Temperature: Thrives in warm conditions between 65-85°F (18-29°C); avoid cold drafts.
• Humidity: Prefers high humidity; misting or a pebble tray helps in drier climates.
• Soil: Rich, well-draining potting mix with good organic content.
• Dormancy: Foliage naturally dies back in cooler months; reduce watering and let the tuber rest before new growth resumes.

Whether grown in a shaded garden bed or as a colorful houseplant, Caladium steudnerifolium brings a distinctive shape and pattern that stands out from the usual caladium lineup.
