Anthurium Axiom

A hybrid of Anth. villenaorum × Anth. magnificum, two species from the Andean cloud forests of South America. It produces broadly ovate-cordiform leaves with well-opened rounded basal lobes, bold contrasting palmate venation with strikingly pale secondary veins, and a semi-velvety, deep surface — a direct expression of magnificum’s legendary ornamental character.

• Light: Bright filtered light with up to 60–70% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can fade the contrasting venation and scorch the leaf surface.
• Temperature: 59–77°F (15–25°C); an intermediate grower that thrives with stable temperatures and good air circulation.
• Humidity: 70–85%; high humidity supports healthy leaf expansion and preserves the characteristic velvety texture.
• Watering: Water thoroughly when the top layer of substrate begins to dry; avoid waterlogging while ensuring roots do not dry out completely.
