Información

Anthurium kunayalense x Anthurium warocqueanum

A hybrid of Anth. kunayalense × Anth. warocqueanum, two elongated-leaf species from the cloud forests of South America. It produces dramatically narrow, lanceolate-cordate leaves with a prominent midrib, slightly bullate surface texture, and a pendant growth habit that becomes more pronounced as the plant matures.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with up to 70% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can scorch the thin, elongated leaf surface.
  • Temperature: 65–78°F (18–26°C); an intermediate-warm grower that benefits from stable temperatures and good air movement.
  • Humidity: 75–90%; high humidity is essential to support full leaf elongation and prevent tip desiccation.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly when the top inch of substrate begins to dry; never allow the roots to sit in saturated media or dry out completely.
  • Growth Habit: An upright grower that produces long, narrow leaves in succession, with new growth emerging vertically before arching outward. The hybrid inherits the dramatic leaf elongation and pendant drape of warocqueanum combined with the broader base and structural firmness of kunayalense, resulting in a striking and collector-worthy specimen.

Additional Notes

Plants are shipped bare root and well-established. Upon arrival, pot immediately in a well-draining aroid mix and water thoroughly to rehydrate the root system. Allow the plant to acclimate in a humid, shaded environment for 1–2 weeks before introducing to its permanent growing conditions.
