Descripción

One of the most dramatically lobed anthuriums in cultivation, bearing enormous pedatisect leaves with multiple elongated segments that radiate from a central point, creating a bold, architectural presence that commands attention in any tropical collection. A true statement plant that rewards growers with increasingly impressive foliage as it matures.

  • Light: Moderate to bright indirect light; avoid direct sun which causes bleaching and leaf burn. Tolerates lower light but produces smaller leaves.
  • Temperature: Warm grower. Daytime 68–85°F (20–29°C), nighttime 60–68°F (15–20°C); avoid cold drafts or temperatures below 55°F (13°C).
  • Humidity: 65–85%; elevated humidity promotes larger, more vigorous leaves and prevents tip browning.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly when the top 1–2 inches of substrate dry out; ensure excellent drainage to prevent root rot.

Additional Notes

Native to humid tropical forests of Central and South America at low to mid elevations; best grown in a chunky, well-draining aroid mix of bark, perlite, and coco coir with a moss pole or sturdy support to accommodate its climbing habit.
