Dendrobium cuthbertsonii f. red

Ordered this at the beginning of the month, and waited patiently for them to ship. Was contacted a week before payday and was told I needed to send more money for shipping to accommodate the cold weather. I was unable to send more money at that time so I asked if they could hold it. They said thst it could not be delayed a week until I got paid. So plants shipped without insulation and this one was completely toast when it arrived. Completely brown and lifeless. Because I couldn’t pay the extra shipping at that exact moment and a delay was impossible, my plant arrived dead. Seems kind of like a bad business plan.

This is one of two D. cuthbertsonii I purchased at the Emerald City Orchid Sales event in the fall of 2024. I believe it has been in bloom since then with one or two blooms. I suspect I had it in a spot that it got too much light especially in the summer. Right now it has one open bloom and two buds. I'm hoping that I will be able to upgrade my review if it starts growing better.

The plant was dried up when I got it and now it is dead.
