Phragmipedium Apopka

Phragmipedium Apopka Culture

Phragmipedium Apopka is a Phragmipedium orchid hybrid grown at our nurseries in Ecuador. Like most of its genus it appreciates intermediate-to-warm conditions and steady, attentive care.

  • Light: Bright, indirect light. Morning sun is tolerated, but avoid hot midday sun.
  • Temperature: It prefers days of 22-30 °C (72-86 °F) and cooler nights around 18-22 °C (64-72 °F).
  • Humidity: Aim for 60-80% humidity year-round, always paired with good air circulation.
  • Watering: Keep constantly moist; this genus tolerates more water than most slipper orchids. Use good-quality water.
