Descripción

This is a low-growing Gesneriad species native to the rainforests of Ecuador. The "cf" notation indicates that this clone is physically very similar to the typical P. hypocyrtiflora but differs significantly in the intensity of the leaf venation color.

  • Light: Requires bright, indirect light (approx. 16,000-27,000 lux). Protect it strictly from strong, direct sunlight, which can scorch its leaves.
  • Temperature: Prefers mild to warm conditions year-round. The ideal range is (65-80°F (18-27°C). Avoid temperatures falling below 60°F (16°C).
  • Humidity: High humidity (60% or higher) is critical for successful growth and flowering. It thrives in closed environments like terrariums or vivariums.
  • Watering: Keep the growing medium evenly and consistently moist, but never waterlogged or soggy. Use soft, room-temperature water. A well-draining, moisture-retentive mix is essential.

Additional Notes

The flowers of Pearcea hypocyrtiflora cf are bright orange with magenta tips and inflated shapes typical of the species. This clone stands out for its pure green leaves with slight silver veins and great texture.
