Descripción

A slender, floriferous epiphyte native to the cloud forests of Ecuador, producing long, upright spikes densely set with numerous small flowers evenly spaced along the rachis. The very narrow, linear-lanceolate sepals and petals taper to sharp, slightly curved tips and have a smooth texture, while the very compact lip bears a visible basal callus and a short column, giving each flower a distinctly airy, star-like silhouette.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 50–60% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can stress the slender pseudobulbs and fine foliage.
  • Temperature: 54–72°F (12–22°C); an intermediate to cool grower that benefits from a nighttime temperature drop to encourage spike initiation.
  • Humidity: 65–80%; consistent moisture supports healthy growth and the production of tall, densely flowered spikes.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the medium to approach dryness between waterings; never allow roots to sit in standing water.

Additional Notes

Best grown mounted on cork or in a fine bark mix with good drainage and airflow. Plants are shipped bare root, well established, and ready to adapt quickly to their new growing environment.
