Descripción

A graceful epiphyte native to the cloud forests of Ecuador, producing arching, branched spikes with medium-sized flowers well spaced along slender branches. The elongated, linear-lanceolate sepals and petals bear dark basal spots and taper to slightly recurved tips, while the broad trilobed lip features an undulate frontal lobe and a contrasting central callus flanked by visible column wings.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 50–65% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can stress the slender pseudobulbs and foliage.
  • Temperature: 50–68°F (10–20°C); a cool grower that thrives with distinct seasonal temperature variation and consistent air movement.
  • Humidity: 65–85%; high ambient moisture supports vigorous growth and encourages the production of well-branched spikes.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the medium to approach dryness between waterings; never allow roots to sit in standing water.

Additional Notes

Best grown mounted on cork or in a fine bark mix with excellent drainage and good airflow. Plants are shipped bare root, well established, and ready to adapt quickly to their new growing environment.
