Odontocidium Holm Lighthouse

A floriferous intergeneric hybrid from the Oncidium alliance, producing branching inflorescences densely packed with numerous star-shaped flowers arranged along arching, wiry stems. The sepals and petals are broad and spreading with a firm texture, and the large, fan-shaped lip dominates the flower with a bold, ruffled margin and a contrasting crest at the center.

• Light: Bright indirect light with 40–60% shade cloth; avoid harsh direct sun, which can scorch the pseudobulbs and foliage.
• Temperature: 55–72°F (13–22°C); an intermediate grower that benefits from a moderate temperature drop at night to encourage flowering.
• Humidity: 60–80%; moderate to high humidity supports vigorous pseudobulb development and prolific blooming.
• Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the medium to approach dryness between waterings; avoid prolonged saturation at the roots.

Additional Notes

Best grown in a coarse bark-based mix with good drainage, in a pot sized to the root system to prevent excess moisture retention. Shipped bare root and well established.
