An epiphytic species native to the cloud forests of Ecuador, forming dense, tufted clumps of narrow, linear leaves from which numerous small flowers emerge simultaneously, each with slender, acutely pointed sepals and petals held close to the foliage. Its profuse, simultaneous blooming habit and compact, mat-forming growth make it a visually striking specimen when in full flower.
Additional Notes
Best grown in a well-draining bark-based mix in a pot or basket. Plants are shipped bare root, well established, and ready to adapt to your growing conditions.
This cute plant survived with increased humidity. To increase the humidity, I leave the plant in a close plastic container with some wet gravels on bottom of the container and it works. Last week, I found two flowers of the survived plant. These small and white flowers have a very cute shape.
It is a interesting plant, but came in with a bad condition. Apparently, an impact and leaves were knocked during shipping. After arrival, leaves keeping falling in the first two weeks. Now it seems stabilized, but only a few leaves left. Not sure if it can survive this shock. I will give another update later.
