Descripción

Descripción

A floriferous epiphyte from the cloud forests of Central America, producing an impressive flush of simultaneous blooms directly from the base of the pseudobulbs. Each flower features remarkably elongated, filiform sepals and a compact lip, creating a striking spider-like display en masse.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 50–70% shade cloth; avoid direct sun exposure.
  • Temperature: 58–78°F (14–26°C); an intermediate-warm grower that tolerates a wide temperature range with good air movement.
  • Humidity: 60–80%; consistent humidity supports the prolific blooming habit of this species.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the mix to approach dryness between waterings; avoid prolonged saturation at the roots.

Additional Notes

Ships bare root and well-established — pot promptly upon arrival in fine bark mix and water generously to rehydrate the roots. Best grown in a small pot or mounted to encourage its clustering, multi-flowered habit.
