Maxillaria arachnites x Max. striata

A hybrid of Max. arachnites × Max. striata, two species from the Andean cloud forests. It inherits the elongated, recurved lateral sepals of arachnites combined with the broader, more structured petals of striata, resulting in a graceful, spider-like flower with added substance.

• Light: Bright indirect light with 50–70% shade cloth; avoid direct sun exposure.
• Temperature: 45–65°F (7–18°C); a cool grower that benefits from good air circulation and stable low temperatures.
• Humidity: 70–90%; high humidity supports healthy root activity and consistent blooming.
• Watering: Keep the mix evenly moist without allowing it to dry out completely; avoid stagnant water at the roots.

Additional Notes

Ships bare root and well-established — pot promptly upon arrival in fine bark or sphagnum and water generously to rehydrate the roots. Best suited for cool greenhouse conditions.
