Descripción

A captivating miniature species native to Ecuador. It grows a large elliptic leaf with a distinctly papillose, granular texture, and produces successive flowers with an erect filiform-tipped dorsal sepal, elongated yellow-green lateral sepals curving downward into tails, and a prominent bilobed purple-magenta labellum at the center.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 50–70% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can scorch the textured foliage.
  • Temperature: 55–72°F (13–22°C); an Intermediate grower that benefits from good air circulation and stable temperatures.
  • Humidity: 75–90%; maintain consistently high humidity — ideal for terrariums or humid intermediate setups.
  • Watering: Water frequently to keep the medium evenly moist; avoid prolonged dryness, as Lepanthes roots are sensitive to dehydration.

Additional Notes

Best grown mounted on cork or in a small net pot with fine sphagnum moss. Its ornamental papillose leaf and intricate flowers make it an excellent terrarium subject. Plants are shipped bare root and well-established.
