Descripción

A miniature epiphyte endemic to Ecuador, bearing successive flowers on slender ramicauls beneath the leaf. The synsepalum forms a concave, hood-like structure over a small, fleshy lip, while the lateral sepals taper into slender apical tails, giving the flower a distinctly sculptural appearance.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 50–70% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can scorch the delicate foliage.
  • Temperature: 50–65°F (10–18°C); a cool grower that benefits from nighttime temperature drops. Minimum tolerance around 45°F (7°C).
  • Humidity: 70–90%; maintain consistently high moisture with good air movement to prevent fungal issues.
  • Watering: Keep roots evenly moist but never waterlogged; water frequently with excellent drainage, as this genus does not tolerate drying out.

Additional Notes

Best grown mounted on cork or tree fern, or in a small pot with fine sphagnum or bark mix. Plants are shipped bare root, well-established, and grown at our nursery in Ecuador.
