Descripción

A distinctive miniature species from the cloud forests of the Caribbean islands. It grows smooth lanceolate-elliptic leaves with a finely papillose texture, and produces successive flowers on slender peduncles with an erect lanceolate dorsal sepal, lanceolate lateral sepals curving downward with divergent free tips forming an open trident-like structure, and prominent outward-curving bilobed petals at the center.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 50–70% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can damage the delicate foliage.
  • Temperature: 55–72°F (13–22°C); an Intermediate grower that benefits from good air circulation and stable temperatures.
  • Humidity: 75–90%; maintain consistently high humidity — ideal for terrariums or humid intermediate setups.
  • Watering: Water frequently to keep the medium evenly moist; avoid prolonged dryness, as Lepanthes roots are sensitive to dehydration.

Additional Notes

Best grown mounted on cork or in a small net pot with fine sphagnum moss. Its unusual trident-like floral structure makes it a distinctive addition to any terrarium collection. Plants are shipped bare root and well-established.
