A miniature epiphyte from Andean cloud forests, producing relatively large, showy flowers for the genus on short ramicauls held close to the leaf. The broadly ovate, translucent sepals frame a prominent central lip and exposed column, giving the bloom a remarkably open and detailed appearance.

• Temperature: 52–70°F (11–21°C); an Intermediate-Cool grower that benefits from a slight temperature drop at night and consistent air movement.
• Humidity: 75–90%; high humidity is essential to keep the thin-textured leaves and roots healthy.
• Watering: Keep roots evenly moist; water frequently in small amounts with excellent drainage to prevent root rot.

Additional Notes

Best mounted on cork bark or grown in a small net pot with fine sphagnum moss to maintain root moisture and aeration. A closed terrarium or enclosed glass container makes an excellent environment for this species, though it can also thrive in any humid, well-ventilated setup. Ships bare root, well-established.
