Descripción

A reed-stem epiphyte endemic to the cloud forests of Ecuador, producing long, arching, branched panicles densely laden with dozens of small, tubular, pendant flowers. The blooms feature narrow, reflexed sepals and petals with a small, open-throated lip, creating a cascading, shower-like display.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 40–60% shade cloth; avoid direct midday sun to prevent stress on the tall stems and foliage.
  • Temperature: 45–65°F (7–18°C); a cool grower that thrives with cool nights and good temperature fluctuations between day and night.
  • Humidity: 70–85%; strong air movement is essential to support the large, branched inflorescences and keep the root system healthy.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the medium to approach dryness between waterings; avoid standing water at the roots.

Additional Notes

Best grown in a well-draining bark-based mix or in baskets to allow the arching panicles to cascade freely. Plants are shipped bare root and well established, ready to settle into their new growing environment.
