Descripción

A charming miniature epiphyte from the forests of Southeast Asia, producing pendant, single flowers with broad, rounded sepals and petals and a large, velvety lip on short, club-shaped pseudobulbs with small, ovate leaves. Its compact size and prolific blooming habit make it an ideal choice for mounted culture or terrarium growing.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 40–60% shade cloth; tolerates more light than many miniatures, but avoid harsh midday sun to prevent pseudobulb shriveling.
  • Temperature: 60–82°F (15–28°C); intermediate to warm grower. A brief cooler, drier rest period in winter encourages blooming.
  • Humidity: 60–80%; adapts well to moderate humidity. Good air movement around the roots is essential, especially when mounted.
  • Watering: Water freely during active growth, then reduce significantly during the winter rest period. Allow roots to dry between waterings to mimic natural seasonal dry periods.

Additional Notes

Best grown mounted on cork or tree fern, or in a small basket with minimal medium. Well suited to terrarium culture with good ventilation. Shipped bare root, well established — ready to mount upon arrival.
