A striking species from the Andean cloud forests of South America, producing arching, branched inflorescences with star-shaped flowers. The narrow, spreading sepals and petals frame a trilobed lip with a broad, fringed white central lobe that creates a dramatic contrast with the rest of the flower.

• Light: Bright indirect light with 50–60% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can scorch the foliage.
• Temperature: 50–72°F (10–22°C); an intermediate to cool grower that benefits from distinct day-to-night temperature differentials.
• Humidity: 65–80%; good air circulation is essential to keep the foliage healthy at cooler temperatures.
• Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the mix to approach dryness between waterings; reduce frequency during cooler months.
