Descripción

A compact species from the cloud forests of South America, bearing single flowers on upright, slender scapes. The blooms display elongated, ribbon-like sepals and petals with a distinctive hooded lip, characteristic of the genus.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 50–60% shade cloth; avoid direct midday sun, which can scorch the foliage.
  • Temperature: 50–72°F (10–22°C); an intermediate-cool grower that appreciates cooler nights to stimulate blooming.
  • Humidity: 60–80%; good air circulation is essential to prevent fungal issues at high humidity levels.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the mix to approach dryness between waterings; never leave roots sitting in standing water.

Additional Notes

Best grown in a well-draining bark-based mix or mounted on cork. Shipped bare root in excellent condition, ready to establish in your collection.
