Descripción

An exceptional internal cross combining two highly select, choice cultivars of this magnificent species native to the forests of South America, showcasing a robust sympodial growth habit. The strong, upright pseudobulbs give rise to elegant terminal inflorescences that display a spectacular cluster of large, heavily textured blossoms highly prized for their unique coloration and breeding potential.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 40–60% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can stress the foliage.
  • Temperature: 65–85°F (18–29°C); an intermediate to warm grower that adapts well to stable greenhouse or indoor conditions.
  • Humidity: 60–80%; consistent ambient humidity encourages vigorous root development and strong pseudobulb growth.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the mix to approach dryness between waterings; never allow the roots to remain waterlogged.

Additional Notes

This medium to large-sized plant produces large, long-lasting blossoms and ships bare root, requiring a gentle rehydration at an intermediate temperature before being potted into a loose, well-draining orchid mix upon arrival.
