DescripciΓ³n

DescripciΓ³n

An elegant and highly coveted color form of the classic species from the coastal forests of South America, prized for its pristine, immaculate presentation. This robust sympodial orchid develops tall, cylindrical, reed-like pseudobulbs that produce upright, terminal inflorescences bearing heavy-textured, waxy, and sweetly fragrant blossoms.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 40–60% shade cloth; avoid direct afternoon sun to protect the upright, leathery foliage.
  • Temperature: 65–85Β°F (18–29Β°C); an intermediate to warm grower that thrives in stable conditions with good air circulation.
  • Humidity: 60–80%; high ambient humidity supports strong pseudobulb development and healthy growth.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly when the growing medium approaches dryness, ensuring sharp drainage to prevent waterlogged roots.

Additional Notes

This large-growing plant produces medium-sized flowers and ships bare root, needing intermediate-temperature rehydration before being potted into a coarse, well-draining orchid mix upon arrival.
