This remarkable orchid, a large epiphyte from Southeast Asia, is highly valued for its striking, fragrant flowers. Here are some tips for growing it successfully:

  • Light: Prefers bright, filtered light. Avoid direct sunlight which can scorch the leaves.
  • Temperature: This orchid thrives in hot to warm temperatures. Daytime temperatures should be between 21-29Β°C (70-85Β°F), dropping to a minimum of 18Β°C (65Β°F) at night.
  • Humidity: High humidity is essential, ideally between 70-80%, with good air circulation to prevent fungal issues.
  • Watering: This species thrives on consistent moisture. Use a well-draining medium and never allow the potting mix to dry out completely.
