Tillandsia undulifolia

An epiphytic bromeliad native to Ecuador, found clinging to tree branches in intermediate-cool cloud forests. It produces long, narrow, filiforme leaves that arch gracefully outward from a slender stem, and bears a branched inflorescence with dense, imbricate spikes at maturity.

• Light: Bright indirect light to filtered sun with good air circulation; thrives mounted or hanging where airflow reaches all sides of the plant.
• Temperature: 50–68°F (10–20°C); a cool-intermediate grower that prefers fresh, well-ventilated conditions and does not tolerate prolonged heat.
• Humidity: 60–80%; regular misting supports healthy leaf texture and prevents tip desiccation in drier environments.
• Watering: Mist or soak thoroughly 2–3 times per week; allow to dry completely between waterings to prevent rot at the base.

Additional Notes

Grown and established at Ecuagenera, this species is shipped bare root and well-established. Best displayed mounted on cork or wood, or grown in a very open, fast-draining mix of bark and perlite with excellent airflow.
