A medium-size specimen of the highly sought-after Philodendron verrucosum Amazon Sunset, displaying the cultivar's signature velvety, dark-green leaves with warm copper-orange to burgundy undersides and prominent pale venation. At this size it already shows the dramatic coloration that makes it one of the most desirable aroids in cultivation.
-
Light: Bright indirect light; avoid direct sun, which bleaches the velvety surface and fades the distinctive underside coloration.
-
Temperature: 60–80°F (16–27°C). Warm to intermediate grower; protect from temperatures below 55°F (13°C).
-
Humidity: 70–85%; high humidity is essential for optimal leaf texture and color intensity. A humidifier is recommended.
-
Watering: Keep the mix evenly moist but never waterlogged; use a chunky, well-draining aroid mix. Never allow roots to dry out completely.
Additional Notes
