Descripción

An exceptional and unique species native to the tropical forests of South America, celebrated for its flat, well-proportioned floral structure and magnificent presence. This orchid features a distinctive, slender growth habit with characteristic thin pseudobulbs, producing intensely fragrant flowers with elegant, well-opened sepals and petals that create a beautiful, striking form.

  • Light: Requires bright, filtered indirect light; avoid direct sun exposure. Strong, filtered light levels encourage prolific blooming and healthy pseudobulb development.
  • Temperature: 65–82°F (18–28°C); thrives in intermediate to warm conditions and benefits from a slight temperature drop at night with good air circulation.
  • Humidity: 60–80%; moderate to high humidity supports optimal growth and helps sustain long-lasting, vibrant flowers.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly during the active growing season, allowing the medium to approach dryness between waterings; prevent prolonged wetness at the roots.

Additional Notes

A highly rewarding species featuring large, visually stunning flowers. Best grown in a well-draining bark mix in a pot sized to the root system. Plants are shipped bare root and well established; pot promptly upon arrival and water thoroughly to rehydrate the roots.
