Anthurium crystallinum x Anthurium carlablackiae

A hybrid of Anth. crystallinum × Anth. carlablackiae, two iconic velvety species from the cloud forests of South America. The leaves are broadly cordate with a highly prominent, contrasting reticulate venation pattern, a distinctly velvety surface, and a strong upright habit — with new growth emerging in a striking contrasting flush.

• Light: Bright indirect light with 50–70% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can flatten the velvety texture and bleach the venation contrast.
• Temperature: 65–82°F (18–28°C); a warm tropical grower that performs best with stable temperatures and no cold drafts.
• Humidity: 75–90%; very high humidity is essential to maintain the velvety surface quality and support full leaf expansion.
• Watering: Water thoroughly when the top layer of substrate begins to dry; avoid waterlogging and never allow roots to sit in standing water.
