Aechmea
Aechmea is a prominent and visually striking genus within the Bromeliaceae family, celebrated for its sculptural foliage and long-lasting, colorful inflorescences. Native to the forests and rocky slopes of Central and South America, these epiphytic or terrestrial plants form rosettes of stiff, often arching leaves that can be banded, spotted, or silver-scaled. The true showpiece is their central flower spike, which emerges in vibrant shades of pink, red, orange, or blue and is typically crowned with small, durable flowers and colorful bracts that can last for months.
