A fragrant hybrid of Rlc. King of Taiwan × C. violacea, this warm-growing Cattleya alliance orchid produces large, full-faced flowers with exceptionally broad, velvety petals and a wide, ruffled lip featuring a vivid yellow throat. The compact unifoliate habit and intense floral presence reflect the strong influence of C. violacea parentage.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 40–50% shade cloth; avoid harsh midday sun to protect the broad, velvety petals.
  • Temperature: 65–85°F (18–29°C); a warm grower that benefits from a 10°F (5°C) night drop to encourage blooming.
  • Humidity: 60–80%; maintain consistent humidity with a tray or misting, especially during dry seasons.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly 1–2 times per week and allow the medium to approach dryness between waterings; good air circulation around the roots is essential.

Additional Notes

Thrives in a coarse bark mix or unglazed clay pot that promotes rapid drying between waterings. Ships bare root and well-established — roots are healthy and ready to adapt quickly to your growing conditions.
