A highly collectible variegated form of Philodendron mamei, displaying the species' characteristic silver-feathered patterning on large, heart-shaped leaves — here enhanced by irregular cream to yellow variegation that makes each leaf unique. It climbs vigorously and develops increasingly dramatic foliage with maturity.
-
Light: Bright indirect light; variegated leaves are more sensitive to direct sun than the standard form — avoid harsh midday exposure.
-
Temperature: 65–82°F (18–28°C). Warm grower; protect from temperatures below 55°F (13°C).
-
Humidity: 65–85%; high humidity promotes larger leaves and more pronounced variegation. A humidifier is recommended.
-
Watering: Keep the mix evenly moist but never waterlogged; use a well-draining aroid mix. Variegated plants are slightly more sensitive to overwatering.
Additional Notes
Best grown in a chunky aroid mix of bark, perlite, and coco coir with a moss pole for support. Ships bare root, well-established (35cm). Grown at Ecuagenera, Ecuador.
