Information

Paphiopedilum barbigerum

Paphiopedilum barbigerum Culture

Paphiopedilum barbigerum belongs to the genus Paphiopedilum and comes from our own propagation in Ecuador. It is an intermediate-to-warm orchid.

  • Light: Low to moderate diffused light, never direct sun. Leaves should stay a healthy medium green; very dark leaves suggest too little light.
  • Temperature: It prefers days of 22-30 °C (72-86 °F) and cooler nights around 18-22 °C (64-72 °F).
  • Humidity: Aim for 60-80% humidity year-round, always paired with good air circulation.
  • Watering: Keep the substrate evenly moist but never soggy; do not let it dry out completely, and avoid water sitting in the crown.
