A primary hybrid of Onc. constrictum × Onc. manuelariasii, offered here as a large, well-established specimen with a robust root system and multiple growths. The elongated, linear-lanceolate sepals and petals bear bold, irregular maculate spotting and taper to slightly recurved tips, while the trilobed lip features a wide bilobed frontal lobe with a finely fringed margin and a prominent white central callus.
-
Light: Bright indirect light with 50–65% shade cloth; avoid direct midday sun, which can stress the pseudobulbs and long lanceolate foliage.
-
Temperature: 50–68°F (10–20°C); a cool grower that thrives with distinct seasonal temperature variation and consistent air movement.
-
Humidity: 65–85%; high ambient moisture supports vigorous growth and the production of well-branched spikes.
-
Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the medium to approach dryness between waterings; never allow roots to sit in standing water.
Additional Notes
This XL specimen is ready to bloom sooner and adapt faster than a standard-size plant. Best grown in a medium bark mix with excellent drainage and good airflow. Plants are shipped bare root, well established, and ready to adapt quickly to their new growing environment.
