A cross between Onc. Cholita Cuencana and Oda. Bomboiza 'Maria', this intergeneric hybrid delivers a spectacular display of richly colored flowers in deep red-orange with a broader, copper-toned lip and heavily ruffled, undulating petal margins. The branched, arching spikes carry numerous blooms simultaneously, making each inflorescence a standout in any collection.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 50–60% shade cloth; avoid direct midday sun to prevent leaf scorch and color fading.
  • Temperature: Intermediate to cool grower. Daytime temperatures of 63–73°F (17–23°C) and nighttime lows of 54–62°F (12–17°C); a consistent day-night differential encourages robust spike production.
  • Humidity: Prefers 65–80% relative humidity with good air circulation; humidity trays or a humidifier help maintain adequate moisture levels.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly when the medium approaches dryness, approximately every 5–7 days. Reduce slightly in cooler months; ensure excellent drainage to prevent root rot.

Additional Notes

An Ecuagenera breeding selection combining the vigor of Onc. Cholita Cuencana with the intense red pigmentation inherited from the Odontioda parent. Best grown in a coarse, well-draining bark mix; repot every 2 years or when the medium begins to break down.
