Healthy plant with new growth.

My masdevallia veitchiana had to travel all the way from Ecuador through Florida to the far northwest corner of Washington State in the USA. Even with all the travel, I received a large, well developed, very healthy plant that is actively growing now with my other orchids. This was my first order from Ecuagenera, and I'm thrilled! I've ordered 4 more plants now and can't wait to see them. This first order did take about a month from the day I ordered until the day I received it due to the extremely long distance, but this beautiful healthy rare orchid was well worth the wait!

Nice healthy plant doing well on my windowsill. It had a new leaf developing that was either too dry in transit or soon after it got to my house and started deforming due to the lack of water. I thought this orchid might take up water through its leaves so I started spritzing the deforming leaf making sure to get water under the leaf sheath. Anecdotally, this resulted in the leaf opening fully with very little deformation. (Note the leftmost leaf in my photo.) I'm also wondering how well this plant will flower compared to the V. veitchiana selections I've had in the past.

Plants arrived in excellent condition, healthy and strong. Can't wait to see them bloom! We were very impressedwith the careful packing and the size of the plants. You guys ROCK!
