Masdevallia deformis Kraenzel. 1921 UNTERGATTUNG Masdevallia ABSCHNITT Masdevallia UNTERABSCHNITT Coccineae Veitch 1889.

Seine Heimat ist die Cordillera del Condor und deren Ausläufer. Sie erstreckt sich von Nordosten nach Südosten auf einer Höhe von 1600 bis 2600 Metern. Relative Luftfeuchtigkeit von 70 bis 90 % bei einer Helligkeit von 30 bis 60 %.

It will survive, I think

Plant looked good in the bag when I picked it up from a show. Unfortunately a third of the leaves fell off immediately upon removing it from the bag and another third fell off one by one in the next week. The rest has since stabilized and seems ok. Eh, I think it will survive, just disappointing.

Plant arrived in good condition.

Arrived in good condition, though somewhat smaller than other orchids I received (had 15 leaves). 5 older leaves have tip damage (burn?) but new leaves are growing perfectly. Leaves are up to 4 inches. Growing mounted on cork, in a terrarium with LED lighting at about 1500 fc. Keeping moist, with humidity between 65-85%, and air circulation provided by a mini fan.
