Lycaste Shoalhaven 'Sisa Andina'

A selected clone of Lyc. Shoalhaven ['Moriyana' × 'Kyoto Sm/jgp (gs399)'], a grex known for its large, well-formed flowers and robust pseudobulbs. Foliage is broad and pleated, forming vigorous fans that support multiple blooms per growth cycle.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 50–60% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which scorches the broad leaves and stresses pseudobulbs.
  • Temperature: 50–70°F (10–21°C); a cool grower that requires a distinct dry, cool rest in winter to initiate blooming.
  • Humidity: 60–80%; ensure good air movement to prevent fungal issues on the large leaf surface.
  • Watering: Water freely during active growth; reduce significantly once pseudobulbs mature and leaves begin to drop, allowing the mix to dry between waterings during the rest period.

Additional Notes

Plants are grown in a well-draining bark and perlite mix and shipped bare root, well established at approximately 40 cm. Pot promptly upon arrival and water thoroughly to rehydrate the roots.
